Our LakeSmart program will continue this summer. We’re thrilled to have our wonderful team of trained volunteer evaluators on board including John Zacker, Beth Trehu, Ellen Ellis and Diane Araps. Did you know that nearly 1 in every 7 properties on Flying Pond has had a LakeSmart visit? If you haven’t yet, we hope that you will consider one this summer. It’s simple, educational, free, voluntary and non-judgmental. Our goal is to work with you—so that together, we can protect and preserve the health of Flying Pond. We will visit your property at your convenience to help identify runoff and erosion. We will provide resources and easy, effective steps that you can take to prevent it. Erosion, a major cause of water pollution, carries phosphorus and other harmful particles into the water that can cause algal blooms, fish kills, and poor water quality. Please reach out if you would prefer to start with a self-evaluation form and/or have us visit to offer suggestions before you schedule your evaluation.
